HR China and HR Financial are trading names of AMCD (Publishers) Ltd registered as a
company in England (Company number 02049025) UK hereafter referred to as HRCF.
Website management and payment processing are currently undertaken on behalf of HRCF
by JHC Technology Ltd registered as a company in England (Company number 02835353)
with payment card processing services provided by Stripe, Inc. (of 510 Townsend Street
San Francisco, CA 94103, USA) and its international affiliates. HRCF may change these
arrangements in future and will update these Terms and Conditions accordingly.
These Terms and Conditions shall apply only in relation to an applicant/student (“Student”)
for courses and qualifications provided by the “Chartered Banker Institute” (CBI) which
is a UK Charitable body (No. SC013927) with a primary office at Drumsheugh House,
38b Drumsheugh Gardens, Edinburgh EH3 7SW.
In the absence of any express or implied prior acceptance of these
Terms and Conditions, a Student is deemed
to have agreed and accepted these Terms of Conditions of Business by submitting
an online course application and paying the course fee through one of HRCF's websites.
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement and understanding betweem HRFC and a Student
with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements,
understandings, inducements and conditions, express or implied, oral or written, of any nature whatsoever
with respect to the subject matter hereof. The express terms hereof control and supersede
any course of performance and/or usage of the trade inconsistent with any of the terms hereof.
HRCF is acting as an intermediary between applicants/students and the CBI.
Responsibility for delivering the courses and associated qualification programmes
is held by the CBI and is subject to their terms and conditions. These may be found

In relation to the courses, the activities for which HRCF are responsible are limited to:
(a) promoting the courses on and through their websites
(b) providing a direct on-line means for Student to apply for courses and pay course fees
(c) working with the CBI to support the initial on-boarding of Students so that
they can be provided with access to the on-line training platform and course materials
(d) providing the CBI with the information recorded through the on-line application process
on their website and paying course fees to CBI on behalf of Students who have
completed their application on the HRCF websites including the payment of course fees
via HRCF’s card payment service provider.
The price charged for courses is inclusive of any UK VAT due and is quoted in UK pounds
sterling (GBP). For Students who are not resident in the UK, there may be additional
taxes, fees, levies, import duty or other charges which are imposed by under local
legislation. Any such charges are the responsibility of the Student.
If for any reason, the Student’s course application is not accepted by CBI,
HRCF will work with CBI to arrange for the repayment of any fees paid by the
Student in relation to the specific course.
HRCF will make reasonable endeavours to ensure that the on-boarding process at CBI
is completed in a timely manner and will liaise between the Student and CBI if there are
any significant delays, where this is likely to be beneficial.
HRCF make no warranties regarding the accuracy of information provided about CBI courses,
the suitability of courses for individual Students, the quality of the course materials
and training provided by CBI or the career value to Students of any
qualification which may be issued on completion of course programmes.
HRCF’s liability in relation to an individual Student shall not exceed monies
paid by CBI to HRCF in relation to the individual application and course fee.
In the event of a dispute between the Student and CBI, HRCF will provide
reasonable assistance to both parties to resolve the matter.
HRCF will not be liable for any failure of or delay in the performance of
their obligations under these terms for the period that such failure or delay is
(a) beyond their reasonable control or
(b) materially affects the performance of any of their obligations or
(c) could not reasonably have been foreseen or provided against.
These Terms and Conditions may only be varied by a Director
of HRCF in writing.
The interpretation and performance of these Terms and Conditions
of Business will be governed by the Law of England.
